General help for using the Antique Homes search database

Our current postings are primarily in New England and include properties listed in Antique Homes Magazine. Additional listings are posted as soon as information is available on an ongoing basis. For information pertaining to advertising your historic property please check the information on the top button bar marked advertising. Please note that this service is now available for antique and historic properties for sale in all parts of the United States, and we will be promoting this location in newspaper and other print ads around the country. We plan to be able to add a map function soon that will allow you to draw a quick map of the area of the properties you choose are located. For now, make a bookmark to www.mapquest.com for an easy way to get a quick map.

By keeping your search simple and choosing only a few fields such as area and price range, you will pull up the broadest list of available homes. By adding more search criteria, you will further limit the scope of your search resulting in a very specific and narrow list of homes. If you find that no properties match your criteria, try using fewer search criteria.

2. Price Range: The search database looks for the home priced between your price entry. You do not need to use commas or $ sign for your entry.

3. Land Area: When used as a search criteria this field will give you only properties with an exact match. If you search by 1 acre, you would have to make a second search to find properties with lots larger than that.

4. Min Baths and Min Beds: Sorts by properties that equal or exceed your minimum specification..5. Architectural Style: Please refer to our historic style guide for more help in identifying the architectural style you wish to search for. You may also search house form- which will let you search by the physical form of the house e.g. Cape , 2 story colonial, saltbox etc.
