Richardson Tavern offers the individuality of historic New England architecture, thoughtfully reimagined for contemporary life. Set on 2.47 acres and surrounded by conservation land, this spacious five-bedroom residence has been carefully renovated for modern living. Nine fireplaces, original mantels, period doors, and distinctive woodwork preserve the home's character, while an updated kitchen and baths bring a fresh, contemporary feel. The former ballroom, with its striking barrel vaulted ceiling, has been transformed into an expansive space for family gatherings and entertaining. A three-story, 1,400 sq. ft. barn and separate 600 sq. ft. studio offer exceptional versatility for creative pursuits, hobbies, or workspace. With a farmer's market next door and lakes, trails, and skiing nearby, the property offers a quintessential New England setting with convenient access to Route 2 and I-190. Once a gathering place for travelers, the tavern is said to have welcomed notable guests, including Lafayette and Paul Revere. A classic New England home whose history has been preserved, its interiors reconsidered, and its next chapter made contemporary.
