Technical Talks: Researching Your Historic House

If walls could talk! Join us to learn more about sources, both physical and documentary, to employ when researching historic houses and other buildings.

Learn about research methods for gathering data that can be used to inform your rehabilitation, National Register listing, real estate ad, or municipal planning goals such as completing comprehensive plans, undertaking cultural resource surveys, laying the groundwork for historic preservation planning or ordinance creation, and building vibrant neighborhoods and communities.

Commercial Historic Tax Credit Webinar

Learn about the NYS Commercial Historic Tax Credit Program. This 20% tax credit for rehabilitation expenses for eligible commercial properties is used in combination with the federal historic tax credit program (20%), can provide a total of 40% in historic tax credits to rehabilitate commercial properties. See the positive impact on community revitalization and economic development that historic preservation can create in communities.
