Shelburne Farms is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire and cultivate learning for a sustainable future. That means learning that helps students build a healthy future for their communities and the planet.  Based on Abenaki land, our home campus is a 1,400-acre working farm, forest, and National Historic Landmark.

More than 10 miles of walking trails throughout the property, starting from the Welcome Center. Seasonally (mid-May to mid-October) access to trails is included in General Admission. Trails are not maintained for winter use.

Walking Trails: More than 10 miles of farm and forest trails open daily, sunrise to sunset. On your walk, you are welcome to visit the Children’s Farmyard animals (no scheduled activities), and the Formal Gardens at the Inn. In lieu of an admission fee, please consider supporting the Farm today to help care for and share our educational campus.

Curbside Farm Store. Order ahead or while you walk (chef-prepared dishes, produce, farmstead cheddar, maple syrup, and more.)
